FRIEND-NOW: Shaping the Future of Telecommunications Engineering

From March 3-7, 2025, members of the FRIEND-NOW consortium gathered at the EUt+ Coordination Center at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) to finalize the design of the Joint European Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering.

The FRIEND-NOW project, under the EUt+ (European University of Technology) initiative, is redefining telecommunications engineering education by offering a flexible, industry-oriented curriculum infused with European values. The programme includes microcredentials, mobility pathways, and an internship, ensuring students gain both technical expertise and essential soft skills for the evolving digital landscape.

A key aspect of FRIEND-NOW is industry and student engagement in shaping the programme. Through surveys and feedback, the consortium ensures the curriculum aligns with real-world industry needs, preparing future engineers for global challenges.
